Representatives of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime presented their thanks to Judge Dr.Faiq Zidan, President of the Supreme Judicial Council after the Judicial Institute participated in a meeting held on the electronic platform last Wednesday to discuss the evaluation of the legislative and institutional framework for the anti-corruption system in Iraq, which lasted for two hours.
The meeting took place with representatives of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, in which they highlighted tasks and work of the Judicial Institute and the tangible development in raising the level of performance efficiency in various fields after the judicial institute has been joined to the Judicial Council according to Law No. (70) of 2017, a reporter of the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated.
The reporter added that the curriculum at the Institute , the specialized courses and workshops held by the Judicial Institute, especially the training programs related to corruption and integrity for judges, prosecutors and investigators were discussed, as well as the fruitful cooperation in the field of training investigators of the Integrity Commission by the Supreme Judicial Council.
He noted that the meeting included a discussion of the criteria for selecting the teaching staff at the institute , the most important obstacles and difficulties that they address in light of the challenges related to the general situation.
