The Central Criminal Court in Rusafa sentenced a convicted who was a trainer for the terrorist Da'esh fighters, to death. Judge Abdul Sattar Berqdar, the official spokesman of Supreme Judicial Council, said that the Central Criminal Court in Rusafa sentenced a convicted to death . This convicted was a soldier of Iraqi army before Da'esh controlled Mosul city then he was an informant for a terrorist organization till he worked as a trainer for Da'esh fighters.
Berqdar added that the convicted admitted in preliminary and judicial investigation of being a soldier before controlling Mosul then worked as an informant for the organization. The convicted participated in Mosul control battles, his duty was to seize the left weapons and equipments by the security services then handed them over to organization members. Berqdar explained that the convicted was a trainer for Da'esh fighters, then he was assigned to work in fighting detachment and participated to transfer the weapons and explosive to Byji and Alhawiyga and to fight against the security forces in liberation battles.
Drawing to that the sentence is in accordance with Article 4 of Anti- Terrorism Act No.13 of 2005.
