Judiciary Reveals the Number of Foreigners Accused of Terrorism During 2018

The Supreme Judicial Council announced that the courts competent in terrorist cases issued a detailed statistic of 2018 . This statistic includes the number of the foreign accused of being affiliated with terrorist ISIL during the period of control and liberation Nineveh . Indicating  that the number of accused persons is (616) males , females and minors who were trailed and 99 accused persons whose cases under investigation and trial.

The number of  arrested accused persons were affiliated to ISIL during control and after liberation of Nineveh (616) accused persons who were trialed, in addition to (99) accused persons under investigation and trial. The number include male, female and minor accused, judge Abdul Sattar Berqdar , the official spokesman of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Berqdar added that the number of accused foreigners who were proved their affiliation to terrorist ISIL and were trialed (508) ,(466) females and (42) males while the accused minors are (108)convicted, (31) males and (77) females. They were sentenced in accordance with Iraqi Anti-Terrorism Act

The official spokesman pointed out that the  number of foreign accused who are members of organization and their cases under investigation (24) males and (67) females while the accused persons whose cases under trial are two males and (6 )females.
