Central Criminal Court : Capital Punishment for Three Convicts of Blowing up an Explosive Device Targeted Pilgrims of Arba'een

Central Criminal Court of Presidency of Baghdad/Rusafa Federal Appeal Court sentenced three convicts to death by hanging  for an offence of blowing up an explosive device in Baghdad al-Jadaida targeted pilgrims of Arba'een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

Central Criminal Court considered cases of three convicts who admitted to forming a terrorist group to target and kill innocent civilians for the terrorist purposes , the statement of the  Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council said.

It added the court sentenced them to death  in accordance with article (4) of Anti-Terrorism Act No.(13) of 2005.
