Al- Karrada Investigation Court has confirmed the statements of six suspects who held 44 Bangladeshi detainees for two months illegally and to compensate their relatives for money.

"six accused arrested confessed before the Karrada investigation court to detain 44 Bangladeshis for two months."A reporter for the media center of the Supreme Judicial Council

"The competent judge reported that the embassy informed the court about the presence of Bangladeshi people detained in a house in the Karrada district near the National Theater," pointing out that "the accused were negotiating with the families of victims in Bangladesh the need to pay money for the release of detainees who came Iraq for action ".The correspondent said

Continued " the Court issued a search warrant for the houses one of these was raided by security forces and managed to free 44 persons who were held in the house and apprehend the accused with the flagrant delicto  pointing out "the   detainees were exposed to physical torture and detained for two months in the house and they didn’t sent to work "

"The defendants were four Bangladeshi nationals and two Iraqis, while three suspects were still being investigated, two of them Bangladeshi and one Iraqi,"

He noted that "the defendants were running an office for the employment of foreign workers in Iraq," noting that "the detainees were examined medically after their released and then deposited in the Embassy of Bangladesh," pointing out that "the defendants have been arrested in accordance with Article 6 of the against Trafficking in Human Beings Code No. 28 For the year 2012 ".
