Nineveh Investigation Court Competent in Anti-Terrorism ratified the statements of a school janitor who had stolen antique manuscripts and religious books belong to the Eastern Church in Mosul.

The accused who was working at the school next to the Eastern Church located in Shaarein market in the old area in Mosul,  was arrested, a reporter of the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated.

The accused hid the stolen goods in his house to sell and smuggle them. The manuscripts had been stolen in 2015 before ISIS took the church as headquarters for Al-Hisbah Divan.
