2 Years Severe Imprisonment for Ex-minister of Municipalities and Public Work and director of the ministry

Karkh Criminal court competent in integrity – related cases sentenced Riyadh Abdul Hamza Abdul Razaq, ex-minister of municipalities and labor and Hashem Abdul Zahra Aziz, a director of the ministry to two years in prison in accordance with article(340) of Penal Code.

Criminal court competent in integrity – related cases had issued the sentence against them due to breach the contract of installation and supply of (17) factories of asphalt. The amount of this contract was 25 million dollars in 2007 ,  the reporter of   Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated.

The court had given the right to Ministry of Construction, Housing , Municipalities and Public Work to go over the civil courts for compensation for damage  result from the violation, the reporter added  .
