The Judicial Development Institute organizes a workshop on the role of the judiciary in facing financial and administrative corruption

On Monday, 15/2/2021, the Judicial Development Institute organized a workshop entitled (The Role of the Judiciary in Confronting Financial and Administrative Corruption) in which the First Judge of the Second Karkh Investigation Court, Mr. Dia Jaafar,lectured, in the presence of a number of media professionals and journalists.
Two axes were clarified in this workshop, the first axis related to the subject of the legislative framework to combat corruption, and the second axis was about the strategy  of the Supreme Judicial Council to combat corruption. The correspondent of the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council said

The competent judge spoke about the role of the Supreme Judicial Council after he worked earlier on developing a strategy or plan to combat corruption, which he placed in four important axes: prevention and preventing corruption, law enforcement, prosecution, raising the educational level, judicial participation as well as international cooperation. The reporter added,
Judge Diaa Jaafar also mentioned that the Supreme Judicial Council has directed to activate cases of illegal gain, in which work has begun to investigate a number of cases that were brought before the courts.

The media center supervisor explained during the workshop that the Supreme Judicial Council, through investigation courts, is serious in combating and confronting for administrative and financial corruption crimes that require a strong will and concerted efforts of all state institutions in order to limit their spread, eliminate them and  processing their negative effects.
